Cocina del Corazon, Post COVID-19 Update
In March following our state's strict Shelter in Place guidelines, our catering services had to be put on hold, and every event on our calendar postponed.
With the future of our catering company uncertain, we knew that one thing stood true;
our mission to provide sustainable foods to our community must continue.
During this health pandemic, food disparities throughout the globe, our country, and our community, are more prevalent than any other time in recent history.
We've taken this time to re-structure and pivot our business to better serve our community and help provide sustainable foods to even more people than before.
In many ways, this is now the beginning of an even greater cause.
We're creating a social justice enterprise with a mission to help fight food inequalities in our East Oakland community. Our goal is to provide access to sustainable foods and education, to those who might otherwise not have access.
By partnering with Mill's College, sustainable and organic POC farms, along with local artisan food makers, we're creating shelf space for fellow food entrepreneurs via our
e-commerce store, and CSA Produce Box.
Our vision is to help bring positive impact to our local community.
